Dead Harvest

June 13, 2006 | Uncategorized

I read about THIS in MSN News today.

Ironically enough, I sort of touched on this subject in my SECOND BOOK. But it was a little different. Yes, I do write for Young Adults (ages 13-18), so my book isn’t as gruesome as this article. Notice I said “touched”. READ: implied. subtly. I never gave vivid details, but by the end of the book, my readers knew what was goin’ down.

Needless to say, I hope I never have to have a transplant. OF ANY KIND.

It’s funny because the other day when I renewed my license, they asked if I wanted to be an organ donor. I hesitated because I know it’s the right thing to do, but something about the process, even if I’m dead makes me squeamish. I think it’s the unknown.
