As an edit for my birthday post, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all the birthday wishes. I had a wonderful, wonderful day….
that started out with NOT going to work.
My spa appt was at 1030am and I got out of there about 130pm. I had a 30 min Swedish massage, after which I slithered to my Hydra Flash facial, followed by a mani and pedi. If I’m glowing its because all the blood was evenly massaged to all parts of my body. LOL.
The Hubby gave me a choice of where to go for dinner and an ad in a magazine gave me the idea to check out The Melting Pot. Short but sweet, we had a 4-course meal called Big Night Out that started out with a cheese fondue appetizer, followed by a salad, the main entree, then dessert…your choice of chocolate fondue.
I’m not going to go into the details of how this place works, that would take too long and I don’t feel like typing it out. But I can tell you that I chose the Chocolate S’mores fondue for dessert and it came with, among other things, marshmallows covered in Oreo Cookie crumbs. Very nice. There’s a reason it’s called Big Night Out…because you end up with a big bill. Granted, it’s a 4-course meal, so it made sense. But the entree we chose (Fondue Fusion) was $86. PER PERSON! The cooking style we chose was an add’l $6 and on top of that, The Hubby had two drinks that totaled $8! To date, this has been our most expensive dinner bill.
Ever.
In the history of our relationship. But he said I was worth it and we had fun. All in all, it was a great birthday.

Hi Celise,
You have an ultra cool website. I want myself in cartoon now! You had a way better birhtday then my last birthday (but really, when you hit 40 you start hating them, so I guess that’s okay.)
I look forward to meeting you!
