I received this letter from the Junior League of Phoenix:
Two of our major fundraisers, Rendezvous at the Roka and Rummage, will be held in December 2007 and February 2008 respectively. These fundraising events for The Junior League of Phoenix will help us to continue to impact our community and change the lives of those in need. The Junior League of Phoenix contributes over 100,000 hours of service to the community annually and has raised millions for our community.
At this time I would like to invite you to join our growing circle of friends who support the vital programs of The Junior League of Phoenix through a tax-deductible contribution to our auction. Its proceeds will help the community programs of The Junior League of Phoenix which are:
~ Promoting childhood literacy
~ Ensuring respite care is available for children with life limiting condition
~ Solving unmet needs of children in the foster care system
~ Encouraging voluntarism in our community while helping the homeless and economically disadvantaged
~ Fostering cultural understanding, learning and imagination in children
~ Helping teens facing cancer
~ Promoting and executing education and nutrition program for children
~ Plan and execute girl scout programs for underserved girlsAs an auction donor, your company will receive recognition in the event program book which will be distributed to all event guests. We are expecting over 850 people to attend these events. Your company will also have the satisfaction of knowing that your donation will significantly impact our community.
They’re requesting gift cards, but I’ve decided to take it one step further and collect donations of:
~ autographed YA and childrens books
~ handcrafted, one-of-a-kind items
If you’re interested in donating one of the above–or both–please contact me through my website. They need to receive these items–at least for the event in December–by the end of September.
