Welcome, welcome. It’s Day Three of Teen Read Week, but it’s Day One in the Character Interview Series. I wanted to give readers a chance to get to know the main characters from my novels, so I opened the floor to questions. Skylar Knight is the main character from my first book, SECRETS AND KISSES (Mar 2004, Gemini Mojo Press) and she’ll be answering your questions today. Skylar Knight is making her way through the final week of school. The subject on everyone’s minds is Blair Neuman’s Junior’s Only End of the Year Bash–and The Kissing Game. Skylar knows that her crush, Kedren Price, will be there but she has one little problem: nonexistent pucker power.
In between studying for finals, and getting some much needed tips on kissing, Skylar starts overhearing mysterious conversations about Blair and Kedren. And she begins to wonder if her classmates are friends…or foes.

Let’s get to it. Here are your questions:
1) What movie could you watch over and over again? The Princess Bride. Wesley was so hot! And so romantic with his ‘as you wish’ comments.
2) Regular or diet soda? Neither. I prefer water.
3) What part of the world do you dream of living in? The Carribbean
4) My favorite color? Blue
5) My favorite food? Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies. I could eat a whole box of those when I’m stressed about something.
6) My favorite television show? Desperate Housewives. I so wanted to be Gabrielle when she was having the affair with the lawn boy. Jesse Metcalf? Very, very hot. Ahem. Not as hot as Kedren Price, though.
7) My favorite singer or group? Tori Amos. She’s very haunting in some ways and her voice is amazing.
My celebrity dream date? Me. Paul Walker. Surfing lessons.
9) If my book is made into a movie, the female actress to portray me should be _____? I was going to say Julia Roberts, but a younger version of her. But her niece, Emma, would probably work.
10) My plans after high school and career choice? Degree in Marine Biology and then a job where I’m working with dolphins (not necessarily a trainer) or preserving marine life.

I was sixteen. I leaned in for the kiss as Phil and I stood on the front porch at the end of our date. My little sister opened the door, gasped and slammed the door. We kissed anyway, and six years later (after lots more kissing) we got married.

Yes.. i was 15 I had made dinner for a couple of my friends and my mom for a school project. After dinner my friends and i went upstairs and decided to play Truth or Dare and I ended up getting dared to kiss my best friend Linz…. it was hilarious because i couldn’t stop laughing it was awkward.. then i kissed my other best friend Heather.
