Olivia pulled the scarf back up to cover the lower half of her face and let it catch her falling tears. Better let it all out now, she told herself as her shoulders silently shook. This will be the last time you cry over anything. Or anyone.
In a few days, her world would split wide open…and be stapled back together in Phoenix, Arizona. Some would say she had sold her soul to the devil. If the offer included a new name, a new life, and an all expenses paid gig as an FBI informant, then she’d give them her soul on a silver platter; strawberry topping, whipped cream, cherry on top and all.
I’m their new secret weapon, Olivia thought, smiling through her tears. I’m not a government trained spy or some genetically-enhanced super soldier. But I’ll expose you for who and what you are and you’ll never even see me coming. Watch out, bad guys. I’ve got my eye on you.
This marks the end of the Prologue, folks.
