This is the front page mock-up for the new business site. Do you think these colors would appeal to teens, both male and female? Without being able to click through the whole site, what’s your first impression? Your opinions would be greatly appreciated. CLICK TO ENLARGE VIEW.
NOTE: My web designer has already informed me that the Nav Bar at the top it too crowded and I should add pull-down menus.

Amber says:
Hello, Celise!
I’m not around young adults much, but I do think they would find the colors appealing. My only complaint would be the silhouettes of the teens. It appears they are transparent and the second line of color from the top looks like it goes through them which I found a bit distracting.
Celise says:
Amber - thanks for your feedback. I’ll be sure to pass this on to my web designer.
Alex says:
I think it’s great Celise. It’s fun and funky, but I think it would definitely appeal *more* to girls than boys (mostly because it’s very pink-centric). I agree with Amber about the silhouettes, too. Maybe a hard line framing the kids or something?
Anyway, I think it’s great. I think it’s going to be super successful!
Rinda says:
I agree with the pull down menu idea. Colors are nice.
Sarcastica says:
Hmm I likey, quite a bit. I agree with what Amber said about the silhouettes, but the colours are very appealing!
Celise says:
Alex, Rinda, Sarcastica - Duly noted. Thanks so much for your input, ladies.
Hi Li'l Sis! says:
FABULOSO!! Love that logo! Your designer is talented, but I agree/w her about the nav bar; drop-menus would be better. I also agree/w the others about the silhouettes, define them differently. My mother-in-law suggested that they be a different color altogether maybe brown or black. The colors are “pretty” (I like it) but you should have your nephew take a peek for an opinion (then again he may not be offended since he’s into wild, funky colors now). I’m impressed overall, you’ve achieved exactly what you wanted your company to express. Love ya!
Suzy :) says:
As far as it being crowded at the top, what about splitting up the silhouettes? Like three of them in the top corner of the page, with the title to the side, and then the other three down on the opposite lower corner with the info at the bottom of the page? Just an idea of a way to retain the design while cleaning up the top.
Also, maybe loose the monogram/shield logo? Or reduced it and move it?
I agree about how “pink-ish” it feels… would probably appeal more to the Young Ladies. What about a fresh citrus color palette? Still bright and playful, without being totally girly? (I’m thinking aqua/turquoise, lime green, and citrus orange, maybe even with a splash of hot pink, just not so much.
Maybe this is TMI, but then again, you ask!
