A rose by any other name…

July 24, 2008 | In the News

This is another reason why children end up killing their parents. I’m all for giving your child a unique name. Hell, I perfectly understand. All my characters have unique names.

But there’s a difference between “unique” and “downright embarrassing”. I was appalled at the name these parents gave their 9 yr old child. Thank God the judge stepped in. I was even more appalled at the names that were ok’d.

For all the celebrities that get bagged on for naming their child Apple, Banjo, Inspektor Pilot, Rumer, Racer, or Rocket, there will be some child–in New Zealand, apparently–who will be stuck with something horrendous like Hot Dog on a Stick.

omg! lol. thats HORRIBLE. that poor girl! im glad the judge stepped in. hopefully she was able to choose her own name. and she probably chose something really common like mary or tiffany. i know they wanted to protect her privacy and not say the name, but im curious what name she chose.

i LOVE my name, btw. it has a nice ring to it. very movie star-ish.
