He was at a Red Sox game (no surprise) reading a pre-release of Chuck Hogans super intense (and amazingly violent) but ridiculously well-written (can you tell I liked this book) "Prince of Thieves" --- He flashed the cover for the camera and must have sent Mr. Hogan to writer heaven. Latter, his direct quote was: "Prince of Thieves is a terrific read. Chuck Hogan has woven a rich narrative of friendship, young love and mounting suspense. On each season's fiction list, if you are lucky, there are one or two books that live up to the advance hype. I guess because while writers might be celebrities, they're more known for their writing than their faces, hence less recognisable (arguably.) Equally arguably is that celebrities are often praised/famed for their beauty and whatnot, whereas writers are less so...?
