Per an email sent out company-wide today:
“As some of you may have noticed, the vending machines in Buildings C and E have been given a new look with healthier vending machine options, such as 100-calorie snack packs, baked chips, protein and granola bars, tuna/chicken salad and other great choices.
These initial changes have been brought to you by our Wellness Executive Steering Committee based on feedback received from employees and our desire to provide you with healthier snack items that align with our wellness goals.
It is our intention to bring healthier vending options to all buildings and hub locations helping us promote and raise awareness about healthy snacking. These vending options have been chosen based on fat, calorie, sugar and sodium content…”
I think people were going into sugar withdrawal by the time this email came out. The switch to more healthier snacks was made a couple of weeks ago and people probably complained. Instead of weaning us, they made us quit cold-turkey.
No more Kit Kats.
No more cheese danishes.
No more mini-chocolate chip cookies.
Sigh
I think I’m going to be seeing quite a few moody people for the next few weeks.
