Hey All,
I’m currently a sophomore in the Adult Degree Program at Prescott College obtaining my Bachelor’s in Nonprofit Management (I plan to open my own nonprofit writing center for teens). Prescott College is a very unique school in which the students are allowed to create their own degree program, then find mentors within their community–or nationally–to mentor their courses. This is a hands-on, learning-by-doing method of eduction for which I think I am best suited. I’m very much looking forward to working with the best and graduating in Dec 2011.
To fulfill the credits for the Writing and Literature Breadth (aka “General Core”) portion of my degree, I created two courses. I am looking for two people to mentor the following courses:
Creative Writing II: Revising a Novel (Summer 2010)
Multicultural Young Adult Literature (Fall 2010)
As a mentor, the time you give will be considerable but valuable, and you will be compensated. You will have the knowledge that the information you impart to your mentee will be a stepping stone to their future. If you are interested in mentoring one of the above courses and would like more details on how to become eligible, please Contact Me. Thank you for your consideration
