Rae - My father teased me, too! And there's this one older gentlemen that works at the Barnes and Noble I go to that makes a comment or two while he's ringing me up. Seriously, it's not all sex, all the time. I've laughed so hard, I've had to put the book down. I get an ache in my chest when the hero does something mean to the heroine (LOL). I've even wiped away a tear or two. And they're a great escape. Real life can totally suck sometimes, y'know?

I SO feel you on this! Glad I'm not the only one, lol. My family laughs cos of my love for books and how many I have. Most of the books are romances...especially African American romance (Kimani). I too started reading them in high school and haven't slowed down. I read some erotica, too. Eventually, I want to write Adult romance w/characters of color.
