Road Trip Wednesday is a “Blog Carnival”, where YA Highway‘s contributors post a weekly writing or reading-related question and answer it in on our own blogs. You can hop from destination to destination and get everybody’s unique take on the topic.
You’re more than welcome to participate! Just answer the question on your own blog, and leave a link to it in their comments.
Topic #31: What tattoo would you get to pay homage to a favorite book or celebrate the success of your own?
First of all, the one and only tattoo I’ve got hurt like a sonuvabitch. Not only that, but some major drama went down after I got it. Needless to say, I will never get another tattoo.
Ever.
Again.
However, if I hadn’t been so traumatized by the first one, I’d probably get something to celebrate the success of my series getting a 6-figure deal (if I was going the traditional route, that is). Something funny like “I am writer, read my roar.” LOL.

I’ve got two of ‘em. I’m planning on getting a third, one I’ve drawn myself, but I haven’t gotten around to designing it yet. One day! I love tat’s

Wendy – If I wasn’t so skittish, I’d probably get another one. Maybe not as big, mind you. But just the thought of sitting thru that constant scraping against my skin…*shudder* I’ll pass. LOL
Kaitlin says:
Ahh, sucks that you had a bad first tattoo experience. I started with a small one–which, of course, makes me want MORE and BIGGER.
Celise says:
Kaitlin – I should’ve started out with a small one. When he drew it, I didn’t realize it would come out that big until the tattoo artist transferred it to paper. The minute I saw it, I was like, “Wow, that’s big.”
Lane Hausteen says:
I love tattoos and don’t for a minute regret having any of them, I’m currently getting a dragon tattoo sleeve done down my right arm can’t wait to get it all done! as can only afford smallsittings at anytime. My local artist is extremly experienced and also extremly expensive but, he’s worth it! Fantastic site btw
Ellsworth Inglin says:
The best way to make sure that you get a tattoo that is very unique and personal to you is to design your own tattoo yourself, that way you know for definite that yours is your very own design and you will not see anybody else walking around with the same tattoo design as you.
