A Royale Pain will not be released this year. In fact, I’m not sure when it will be released. For the time being, I’m just going to keep writing the series and see what happens.

The good news is, I’ve started revisions for Book Two and they’re going well so far. I haven’t gotten past Chapter One. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not.

I also received my Financial Aid packet in the mail today. Yay!! It’s a nice amount, but I’m still going only half time, so we’ll see how much that’ll cover. Seeing that package waiting for me makes it seem more real now. Orientation is Aug 30-Sept 1. For the first time, in a long time, I’m really looking forward to going back to school.

Got my official acceptance letter from Prescott College today. While I was happy to see it–it makes it official after all–I would’ve preferred to see a Financial Aid packet. They’re supposed to be sending out award letters the last week of March, beginning of April.

Yeah, I know. It’s only the 7th.

I’m a little anxious. So sue me.

I won’t start harrassing the office until next month.

I finally finished the second set of revisions tonight. Yay, yay. But no Snoopy Dancing will occur until I get comments back from my beta reader. She can be brutal (in a good way, of course) and I don’t want to jinx myself. It’s going off to the editor this week and I’m told it’s going to take 3 weeks. In the meantime, I guess I’ll pull out Book Two and start editing that.

No cover yet. She’s still working on it. But I pinky-swear I’ll post it when it’s done.

I am done with the second set of revisions! Two days ahead of schedule!!! Praise the lord, hallelujah, pass the biscuits (with butter and jam, please). SNOOPY DANCE INSERTED HERE.

Thanks to LK, my reader, for showing me the light. It’s always good to have another set of eyeballs, well, eyeball your work. It’s also good to have someone who has no concept of the writing world trip you up on your game. LK gives new meaning to the phrase “fresh pair of eyes.” And boy, was it refreshing.

I can’t call it Revision Hell because it really wasn’t that bad this time. That could change after I get it back from the editor, though.

There was:

cut and pasting
total do-overs
major slashing

Now I’ve just got to type it all up. Gah! I’ll start that on Sunday.

For now, the brain is tired, I have no eyebrows left (just kidding. long story, tell you about it later) and I need to find something to eat.

You are looking at a sophmore going to Prescott College. WHOO-HOO!! I found out today that I got accepted. After 17 yrs of being out of the Education Loop, I am finally getting my Bachelor’s degree. In Management. First. The second BA degree will be in Humanities.

“I’m so excited. And I just can’t hide it…”

I start in September. So, now I’ll have new categories to blog about like School Daze, Final Exams Hell Week, Too Cool For School, “Whoa, whoa, I gotta go, back to schooooool…again” (sorry, channeling GREASE there. LOL), etc. I’ll find out about Financial Aid towards the end of March the beginning of April. I’m only going to be taking two classes, though. I don’t want to get overwhelmed. That would be too easy for me to do.

Closer to starting school, I’ll post the classes and the reason I’m working on this degree first. I plan to treat myself…once I get past this deadline. It’s going very well. My brain is tired and my hand hurts from re-writing a chapter this evening. I’m going to bed.
