Hey Celise,

Thanks for all the comments! Sorry I haven't been around much, I miss all the Monday updates!! :( Anyway, love this T-shirt, and find it most amusing that someone not only thought it said "white thing" but confused you with someone else! ;-)

Also, you asked a few weeks back if I had anything I was working on that I want to submit/publish; ideally, <a href="http://litterarius.livejournal.com/1554.html"this short story</a>, or <a href="http://girlsarebitchy.blogspot.com/2008/04/and-from-h3-despair-descends.html" rel="nofollow">this poem</a>, both of which I'm still drafting.

I threw my hubby the first SURPRISE surprise party of his life, for his 40th, which was the first year we were together. We had over 50 people there, and he NEVER guessed it! I sent out maps of the neighborhood and indicated where to park and WHERE NOT TO PARK! That helped out, A LOT! Also, I think everyone arrived within the hour of his arrival, so, it worked out well. I was pleased that my first surprise party worked out so well, but it DID take A LOT of planning and prep work! Like, I bought all the food and supplies over a few weeks time and stored it at the neighbor's house. Even did prep work on the food, and kept it in their fridge. Had helpers lined up to come decorate. Thinking about it, it WAS a lot of fun!

Saturday am, Drove around looking for yard sales (not very many around here). Spent the rest of the weekend going through the garage and unpacking from our move last month.

Suzy - I agree. It's very sad. It's bad enough when kids are labeled "at risk" and "unteachable" It's worse when they're written off by society and the rare moment when someone is willing to give them a hand, it's taken away. It makes no sense to me.

Wow! I just.can't.believe that this stuff is still going on in our Country! I mean, it was on the list of the 20 approved books. They were told, in writing, of her intent, their were permission slips signed by parents and still she gets fired over it! Wow! Sad.

Probably not. If I keep going back and forth on it, it'll never go live. The deadline is AUgust 1st and I want to stick with that. Like a few people have said, I'll just know and won't have to ask for opinions. Again, thanks for your input. It was greatly appreciated.

Even without the Red on #2, it feels like a Gay / Lesbian Pride thing going on. Fonts and logos seem disjointed.

With both #1 and #2, I still like the silhouettes, but feel like the whole header thing is too big and bulky. What about breaking the silhouettes down smaller and separating them?

Just as they are, I think #2 would appeal more to both genders. I also find the newspaper / typewriter style font a little edgy. That could be good or bad depending on what you're going for.

I'd try #2 with fewer colors and less graphics at the top.

The swoop on #1 is catchy, so I'd still like to see #1 with a different color scheme.

I'm not really sure WHAT a teen publishing site would look like... informative and clean I think. Fast loading and easy to navigate.
