We had over 50 people there, and he NEVER guessed it! I sent out maps of the neighborhood and indicated where to park and WHERE NOT TO PARK! That helped out, A LOT! Also, I think everyone arrived within the hour of his arrival, so, it worked out well. I was pleased that my first surprise party worked out so well, but it DID take A LOT of planning and prep work! Like, I bought all the food and supplies over a few weeks time and stored it at the neighbor's house. Even did prep work on the food, and kept it in their fridge. Had helpers lined up to come decorate. Thinking about it, it WAS a lot of fun! Saturday am, Drove around looking for yard sales (not very many around here). It's very sad. It's bad enough when kids are labeled "at risk" and "unteachable" It's worse when they're written off by society and the rare moment when someone is willing to give them a hand, it's taken away. I just.can't.believe that this stuff is still going on in our Country! I mean, it was on the list of the 20 approved books.
